Normally, RSU5 has an annual budget meeting in May. With the pandemic continuing, we will be holding a public hearing on May 26th, rather than the annual budget meeting, as we did last year. The following is the remaining timeline for our budget adoption: Board meeting/Q&A on budget: May 12 @ 6:30 p.m. FHS cafeteria & via Zoom Public Hearing: May 26 @ 6:30 p.m. FHS & via Zoom Referendum vote: June 8 @ voting polls in each of the three towns You can participate in person at the Board meetings or access them via Zoom. Read More about Update on FY22 Annual Budget Meeting Laptop Protection Program Posted On: Tuesday, January 26, 2021 In September FMS let the parents/students know we would be getting our online payment system back up and running to make it easier to pay the laptop protection payment for your child and you could hold off making a payment until the online payment was ready. We did get it up and running in December, but decided on holding off sending the payment request right before the holidays. If you would like the laptop protection program for your child, please either send money to school or pay online. The protection program pays for 80% of the accidental damage to the computer. Online Payments Read More about Laptop Protection Program CORONAVIRUS AND COVID-19 INFORMATION FAQ's Reopening Schools Freeport Middle School Freeport Middle School is excited to announce students will be coming to Freeport Middle School 5 days a week beginning Tuesday, March 23 (on a slightly reduced day). The last day of the hybrid model will be Thursday, March 18th. FMS staff will use Friday, March 19 and Monday, March 22 to finalize plans for the return of all students to the building. Bringing all of the students back on a daily basis and still following all of the state and federal requirements is not easy, but we feel we can do it safely. Students will still arrive at school prior to 7:40, but they will now be dismissed at 1:20.
